Associate at SITELAB Urban Studio, SAN FRANCISCO, CA
International Associate AIA, Architect DE-HMONP
I’m an architect and urban designer dedicated to creating resilient, sustainable communities through comprehensive planning and design. At SITELAB urban studio, I work at the intersection of design and strategy, translating complex urban challenges into meaningful, place-based solutions.
I believe cities should be both livable and adaptable, places that evolve in response to climate, culture, and community needs. My work is rooted in the idea that good urban design is not just about form, but about long-term stewardship of land, infrastructure, and collective memory.
My approach blends analytical thinking with creative exploration. I work closely with diverse teams, including engineers, economists, developers, and local stakeholders, to develop frameworks that are visionary yet grounded. I’m most effective when design is treated as both a strategic and spatial tool, shaped through dialogue, layered contexts, iteration, and a shared sense of purpose.
Recent projects include the East Solano New Community for California Forever: a bold vision for a new city in Northern California; the San Francisco Waterfront Resilience Program, which reimagines the city’s shoreline in response to climate and seismic risks; and tactical urbanism pilots like The Landing @Leidesdorff, aimed at sparking a new dynamic in post-COVID downtown San Francisco. Each reflects a different scale, but a common ambition: building places that endure.
Outside of work, I’ve found a creative parallel in brewing traditional Japanese sake: a process of patience, experimentation, and transformation. It reminds me that good design, like good sake, takes time, care, and an appreciation of context.

vulnerabilities of sea level rise and seismic instability.
- Develop urban design strategies to adapt
over-water real estate assets, including piers, wharves, and berthing
facilities.
- Coordinate with the SF Port and the US Army Corps of Engineers on creation and illustration of Adaptation Strategies for USACE Focused Array and Final Array of Alternatives for assessment.
- Design and visualize three inter-agency Adaptation Strategies to serve as the basis for San Francisco’s selection of the Locally Preferred Plan for implementation.
Mixed-use infill Master-planning:- Create master plans for integrated, mixed-use infill developments in urban areas, for sites ranging from 10 to 17,500 acres.
- Lead technical design development from concept design to master plan entitlement.
- Create detailed masterplans including concept
vision and design for streets and streetscapes, parking and loading, parks and
open space, fire and emergency vehicle access strategies, residential buildings
including affordable housing, office building, retail and active uses,
placemaking and programming strategy, art and culture uses, ecologies areas,
integration with multimodal transportation systems, centralized infrastructure
and utilities plant, educational facilities and programming, entertainment
uses, and sustainable design elements.
France and California Entitlements Knowledge:- Deep knowledge and understanding of France, California, and San Francisco masterplan entitlement processes, including CEQA, authoring Design Guidelines documents, conducting community engagement, providing collateral for public hearings, and understanding inter-agency city processes.
Proforma Development:- Support clients in developing proforma analyses through creating a detailed Excel spreadsheet for urban design projects.

- Serve as client contact to support costing and
feasibility analyses.
- Inform design development of the masterplan through
understanding of project economic feasibility and proformas.
Visualization:- Lead the development of layered visualization to
communicate complex designs, processes, and ideas clearly and effectively.
